Autumn

How does the change of seasons make you feel? Nostalgic? Reflective? Invigorated?

In my neck of the woods March marks the end of summer. This is a sun and beach worshipers’ land, and seasons are not really that different in terms of weather. Except for very slight changes in temperature, it’s sunny pretty much all year round, and most trees are evergreen. Still, the locals hate it - the cold, … the everything. The cold, mainly.

I am an odd one out who loves autumn. See, I come from the other hemisphere. For years, I lived and breathed all four seasons and the changes they came with. Each one marked a clear new beginning and had its own holidays and traditions.

I love autumn, with its incredible colour symphony. I love the change in nature. An invitation to reflect, rethink and rewrite.

We cannot let this spectacular change of season go unnoticed. Bring the outdoors in, they say. This is a great time to update your space with snuggly throws and warm colours and textures.

Here is a cute reflection of autumn in a child bedroom design.
