Azure Medley

Artwork can be a starting point and great source of inspiration for designing a space. Scrolling through Instagram for inspiration can lead to wonderful things, like discovering beautiful artwork but more importantly, beautiful people.

A while back, as 55DesignStreet, I came across a painting called “Flock Together” by Stephanie Bostock, and I smiled because of the coincidence. I like coincidences. I had just chosen the same colours as the ones in her painting for one of my interior design projects, but I wasn’t entirely sure about the combination. This beautiful watercolour was the confirmation that I needed. "Yes, it works, go for it."

I continued browsing through Stephanie's paintings and I found “Azure Medley”. I don’t seem to use blue much in my designs, and because I really liked this painting, I put together a design board around it. A nice, comfy masculine space, a place to relax and read a mag :)

You can see more of Stephanie’s artwork on her website, which I invite you to visit and enjoy: http://www.stephaniebostockart.com/
